Woodland Area Project 2005

In the summer of 2005 Dunbeg Development Group raised funds to completely resurface the Woodland Area walk at the rear of Dunbeg primary school to create access for all into the area.

All drainage work had to be carried out before the new path could be laid.

140 tonns of gravel had to be barrowed into the woodland.

With just a little help from the digger.

The 'Woodland Area' is a huge asset to Dunbeg Primary School and is also well used by the wider community of Dunbeg.

The Woodland Area is now open to the public and can be accessed by people of all abilities.

The total project cost was £5K and Dunbeg Development Group would like to thank the 'Scottish Forestry Grant Scheme' who provided 90% of the funding for the project and Dunbeg Primary School who who added the final 10% plus 'A&M Colthart' who constructed the new path.
