Permanent Goals & Backboards Project

During the October holiday 2005 this new sports facility was installed at the rear of Dunbeg Primary School. The total project cost was £14,000 and funding came from a variety of sources.

lorry forklift holes for goals

A very big lorry arrives at Dunbeg Primary School.

The forklift gets to work unloading the equipment

Holes one meter deep had to be dug in the tar.

goals up in use kids playing

Things start to take shape as the first goal goes up.

It was hard work for the builders digging the holes but eventually they were finished.

Dunbeg Primary Schools Homelink Holiday Club was the first organisation to take advantage of the new Goals & Backboards.

This facility will also be of great value to many of the other clubs that

use the school (youth clubs, primary football, basketball etc) as well as

Dunbeg Primary School pupils.
